There are situations when I want to lie down in the daytime or watch a movie, and the sun shines brightly on the street. In these cases, curtains on windows that do not pass sunlight will help. In winter, they will protect you from cold and drafts to some extent. At night, such curtains will not miss the light of street lamps or flickering a traffic light outside the window.

What curtains do not miss the light?

So that the curtain does not pass the light, it must be sewn from medium or high density fabric. Often, to enhance the light -protective effect, the curtain is made with a lining. The following materials can serve as material for curtains that do not pass light:

velvet – Royal matter, having a short dense pile on the front side. It is made of silk, cotton threads and viscose. It may look different, depending on the angle of view.
silk – dense natural not imaginary fabric, the use of lining increases the light -protective properties of the material;
wool – for its manufacture, they use sheep yarn, has excellent light and soundproof properties;
moire – fabric with a beautiful overflowing shine, is often used in original blinds;
brocade – dense material with patterns similar to embroidery. Long curtains with magnificent folds and oxen will look gorgeous and perfectly protect from the sun;
Damascus – silk fabric with shiny and matte patterns is often used in blinds and curtains;
atlas – The material in which silk is present in conjunction with flax or cotton. It is perfectly draped and protects against light. The curtains look especially impressive thanks to the radiant front side of the fabric;
Blackout – Synthetic material made of polyester fibers is the most popular fabric that does not pass light, providing one hundred percent light protection. In production, the fabric is treated with several layers of acrylic foam. Two -layer material is used for the manufacture of lining, and rolled light -protective curtains are made of three -layer.
