Glass structures are equally actively used for the design of both residential and office premises. This is a great way to divide a room into zones without making it feel cluttered. Depending on the design, glass partitions are used for living quarters, bathrooms, corridors or kitchens. Each case has its own characteristics.
Tempered glass partitions
Due to its increased strength, tempered glass is the most popular. The peculiarity of this material is that even with a strong impact, the structure crumbles only into fragments with blunt edges, which makes it safer. Tempered glass partitions have a number of advantages:
- the design allows for different levels of sound insulation; if double partitions are used, this advantage increases significantly;
- in case of an accidental impact, the partition will not break, and if this happens, it will be impossible to get injured by the fragments;
- Due to modularity, you can always change the configuration.
Of course, all of the above qualities do not directly affect the price of the structure. When compared with a similar one made from plasterboard, the difference can be 50%. As for the design part, here you can choose a partition according to the place of application and your wishes. There are completely transparent and tinted partitions using film. There are multi-colored and matte surfaces, textured ones.

Partitions with glass come in two types: frame and all-glass. The first type involves the presence of a metal or wooden frame. This option is most often used for those rooms where it is necessary to provide high noise insulation.

All-glass structures are fixed with clamping profiles. The wall thickness is about 10 mm. The main difference between the two types is that frame structures do not use vertical posts, which makes it possible to maximize the visibility and illumination of the room.

Interior sliding glass partitions
As before, the partition comes in different designs and you can choose the right one according to the place of use. As for the design features, there may be several of them:
- systems with rails (their number varies from one to three);
- systems that slide directly into the wall;
- radius glass partitions;
- systems that use an upper suspension and a lower support mechanism.
Thanks to the use of a sliding system and a textured glass surface, you can safely replace walls or even doors with such partitions. You not only save space, but also visually expand the space.
Due to their high resistance to high humidity conditions, sliding glass partitions are recommended for use in home saunas and kitchens.

Glass partition in the bathroom
In bathrooms where the bathroom is combined, such designs are very useful. You can always use frosted or embossed glass to separate the toilet from the bathroom. This is also an excellent alternative to traditional shower stalls: you simply install glass walls and thereby create your own unique shower stall.
A glass partition for a bathroom is used for zoning space, separating a shower corner, protecting against splashes and as glass curtains directly in the bathroom. Such partitions are actively used for modern bathroom design, as the design looks stylish and at the same time fits well into the minimalist trends of modern design.
