Flowers in the house bring a touch of comfort, with their help they decorate the interior and complement it. Choosing shelves for plants is not so easy, because there are so many varieties of designs and materials used. Below we will look at which flower shelves are suitable for the room, depending on its size and the plants themselves.
Shelves for flowers: what material to choose?
Almost all existing types of materials are used to make stands and shelves. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses, and also belongs to one or another price category:
- products made from chipboard are considered the cheapest (it is worth noting that the design can be either simple or more original, but due to constant exposure to moisture such products may not last long if they are not used carefully);
- glass products are usually intended for windows, they do not visually eat up space on the windowsill and all plants receive enough light;
- forged shelves and stands look expensive and stylish, they are reliable and durable;
- Wooden flower shelves are most often made to order; these are elegant and original products that usually take up a lot of space and have a classic design with curved legs and carved elements.
Beautiful shelves for flowers
Design options will primarily depend on where you plan to place your plants.
- Corner shelves for flowers They are great space savers and suitable for plants that don’t need too much light. The design can be either floor-mounted or suspended. Corner shelves for flowers are usually made of forged metal or wood, chipboard.
- Wall shelves for flowers – a good solution for vines. Hanging shoots of plants look especially impressive on them. Shelves on the wall for flowers are usually made of metal, less often they combine a metal frame with wood.
- Floor shelves for flowers – the most common type. There are large structures for six to eight medium-sized flowerpots, three to five for large pots. Wooden flower shelves are often chosen for country houses with large attics or winter gardens. For apartments and balconies, chipboard shelves for flowers on a metal frame are usually preferred.
- Window flower shelf – an excellent solution for flowering plants. Glass shelves in several tiers are placed on a metal frame. Sometimes this design perfectly replaces a traditional curtain.
