Types of interior partitions
In the process of repair, sometimes there is a need to make additional partitions. For example, if you need to separate the dressing room, expand the corridor, add a partition in a large room or separate the kitchen area from the rest of the space.

In this article, we will analyze the most popular materials from which interior partitions make.
Partitions made of drywall
This is the most common type of partition. First, an iron frame is mounted.
Then, sheets of drywall are attached to it on both sides of the frame.
After the wall, it remains only to putty and apply the finish coating – wallpaper or paint. It is not necessary to plaster drywall.
In the putty “under the wallpaper”, 2 layers of putty are applied. After that, you can glue the wallpaper.

In the putty “under painting”, in addition from above, a layer of putty is glued with a glassholest. This is a material that smooths out the surface and makes it more resistant to microcracks. Further, the glasshold puts it up again and the surface is more even and smooth than when putting the “under wallpaper”.
The final price of a square meter of the partition “for painting” will cost about 3350 rubles. If there are wallpaper on the wall, the repair price will drop and amount to about 2410 rubles per sq. Meter.

This solution is suitable for those who want to save on repairs. Plasterboard partition is cheaper than analogues. It is not necessary to apply a layer of plaster on it, so saving is obtained not only on materials, but also at work.

Such a partition is also chosen by customers who want to sound the sound of the wall. Sound -insulated drywall is cheaper and easier than walls from other materials.
You can read more about noise insulation in our article.
Gypsum cardboard is not suitable if you need to make a doorway in the partition or you need to hang something on it, for example, a picture or a mirror.
Partitions from gas blocks
The partition from gas blocks is placed in those places where they plan to fix the cabinet, hang a picture or make a doorway to the wall. It is a little more expensive than a wall of drywall, but cheaper than a brick partition.
It is optimal to use a gas block with a thickness of 100 mm. In this case, the partition will not take a lot of space and will be strong to hold the doorway or cabinet.
Unlike drywall, the gas block is first primed, plastered, and then put down in front of the final coating, such as paint or wallpaper.
The cost of the partition from the gas block is almost one and a half times higher than from drywall. Gypsum cardboard – 3350 rubles per sq. Meter. The partition from the gas block is 5150 rubles per sq. Meter.

Brick partitions
Some clients cautiously look at partitions from drywall and gas block. It seems to them that such walls are not strong enough, so the feeling of a certain protection in such a space disappears. In this case, the wall is made of brick. Such a partition is more expensive than all other analogues, but it makes sounds more effectively from neighboring rooms.
The brick wall in the same way as a gas block is plastered, applied, putty and only then painted or glued wallpaper.
The price of a brick partition is about 7050 rubles per sq. Meter.

Partitions made of wood
Wooden rails are more a decorative element for zoning space than a full partition. More often such designs are used in modern and eco -style. In this apartment in this way, a corridor was separated from the living room.

Conclusions
Most often, partitions are made of drywall or gas block, less often from glass or wood. Drywall is used in single partitions. This is the cheapest type of partition. The gas block is made where there is a doorway and where you need to hang a picture or attach something, for example, a closet.
The partitions made of whole glass are the thinnest. They share the room, but do not visually less. There are still partitions from glass blocks. They also miss the light, but look more massive. Wooden rails are a decorative element to zone the space.
