In order to suspend the spread of the fire for a certain time and enable people to evacuate from the premises in time, and it is possible to save some property, they use fire partitions.
For the manufacture of fire partitions, the following materials are used:
- refractory (heat -resistant) glass;
- brick;
- metal.
Requirements for fire partitions
In accordance with regulatory documents, the design of fire partitions should be made of non -combustible materials. If wood is used, then it should be deeply saturated with antipyrens from all sides. Plasterboard sheets should have a frame of non -combustible materials with fire resistance seventy -five minutes for first -type partitions and forty -five minutes for second -type partitions.
Brick firewall
These partitions belong to fire fences with refractory properties and holding fire for a certain time. Brick firefighters are a standard and simplest type of barrier that protects neighboring rooms on its floor from fire and penetration of harmful combustion products into them. The installation of brick partitions should be carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents, such as SNiPs (construction standards and rules): SNiP 21-01-97 and SNiP 2.01.02-85 “Fire safety of buildings and structures”. Incorrect installation of such structures can lead to unforeseen consequences.
Modern firefighter glass partitions have a glass thickness of thirty millimeters or more, however, they pass almost one hundred percent of sunlight.
In addition to partitions, experts recommend installing fire doors with antipanic fittings in the room. This measure will significantly increase the chances of saving people during a fire.
Fire -based translucent partitions are a fireproof profile glazed with several layers of heat -resistant glass. The profile of partitions is steel and aluminum. As well as other types of partitions, translucent partitions are the first and second types. Each type has its own fire resistance limit in time. The first type is 45 minutes, the second is 15 minutes. The most reliable – partitions with a steel profile – the resistance limit of up to one hundred and twenty minutes.
