Laminate and parquet board – what’s the difference?
The laminate and the parquet plank have a common similarity – their multilayer structure. The laminate consists of four, and sometimes five layers of material. Simply put, this coating is a murals that are attached to a fiberboard sheet and covered with a transparent resin on top. The parquet board has a three -layer structure. Two lower layers are made of cheap pine or spruce, and the upper is a high -quality wood veneer.

Another difference between the parquet board and the laminate is that the wooden floor is easy to scratch, and the legs of heavy furniture can leave noticeable traces on it. To get rid of such shortcomings, this material is used with a warm floor, a substrate and a special antistatic agent.
Both of these floor material do not like excessive moisture on the floor. But when caring for parquet, you can and should be used special products for wooden surfaces, which should not be made on the floor from the laminate.
Compared to the laminate, the floor from the parquet board will last much longer and this is explained by the fact that the parquet can be grinded several times, thereby restoring its original appearance. The laminate is not subject to such an update.
