What beds do you like?

by decoredhome.com

Traditionally, vegetables are planted on beds. But the appearance of ordinary beds on many is on the longing: I want something unusual, beautiful, and then boring monotonous earthen mounds … But the beds are also different! Yes, not every option is suitable in order to grow a large harvest – but not everyone needs huge vegetable reserves! So let’s see what beds there are, except for such – familiar (this is just my garden, on which the “food program” is performed). This season is also planned a decorative option, but for now the rest of the photos are not mine. Ordinary beds. A photo of the author has once been talking about beauty, and let’s start with it, perhaps. The decorative gardens so popular recently are not at all the invention of our days. The vegetables began to plant beautifully for a very long time – this tradition is still from the monastery and pharmacist gardens. Today, the classic example of high garden art is the decorative gardens of the French castle of Villanderi. Decorative garden in Vilandry. Photo from the site Stroy.pro, in fact, we are talking about arranging beds in a regular style. With the right approach, they will require the cost of time, effort and finance, mainly at the very first stage – when all this needs to be carefully planned, lay, decorate. Subsequently, taking care of such beds and maintaining them in order will be no more difficult, and maybe easier than the usual ones. But such a garden can be placed even in the front area of the site – it is so attractive. Garden in a regular style. Photos from the site www.florapassionis.com are characterized by strict lines, verified geometric shapes. And of course, impeccable accuracy. Therefore, the paths in such a garden are either paved or covered with small gravel, sand and similar materials. The beds themselves can be crushed with the surface of the soil or rise above it. In the second case, they have a framing that plays a decorative role and at the same time does not allow the soil to crumble. Due to beautiful sides, raised beds look elegant and original. Garden in a regular style. Photo from the site Landstudia.ru This layout is ideal for a pharmacist garden – a small area with spicy and medicinal herbs. Small ridges are very convenient for them, and you can place such beauty near the kitchen and next to the recreation area – so that the greens of the barbecue is always at hand. For those who want to arrange beds with spices in a more natural style, a version of a spiral bed resembling rockeries is suitable. When creating it, it is important to correctly arrange plants so that it is comfortable in such conditions, because on different tiers of such a bed, soil moisture and illumination will be different. Spiral beds. Photos from the site img.anews.com now many build high beds that are not only beautiful, but also convenient. In order to take care of plants on them, you do not need to lean low, and this is a big plus. But there is a minus: the soil in high beds dries faster than in ordinary ones, so you need to water them more often. In a hot, dry climate, this is not the most successful option for garden arrangement. But in low areas where water often stagnates, and the soil does not differ in fertility, high beds can become a real salvation. The so -called warm beds are most often made high. This is not just a box with soil poured into it – this is a rather complicated system, a kind of “layered pie”, the “filling” of which serves plants with a source of nutrition and heat. Warm beds are built on the surface of the soil, without deepening into it, or with deepening. In the first case, sometimes the turf is not even removed, laying the layers of the future bed directly on the unprocessed soil. In the second – a small pit is dug in the size of the beds and the first layers of the “fuel” are already laid in it. This option is suitable if the site is not flooded in the spring, and soil waters lie deep enough. The diagram of the device of warm beds looks something like this: the device of a warm bed. The drawing from the site teplica-exp.ru however, the recommended number of layers may change. It is important that below there is a rough, voluminous, long decaying material, which, among other things, serves as a drainage layer. Then laid chopped paper, cardboard, on top of which you can lay out food waste and plant residues. A “filling” is necessarily sprinkled with mature compost and garden soil, in which plants are already planted. Such a bed serves for several years, without requiring special worries. But it is advisable to cook it in the fall, covering it for the winter of mulch from straw or non -woven material. At the bottom of the box (or a pit, if the bed is buried), it is advisable to put a fine -mesh metal net so that mice or other rodents do not settle inside. A warm bed can be done not only in the form of a box, but also in the form of a hill – in this case, vegetables are planted in rows along the entire surface of the bed. This allows you to increase the area of plantings-the beds-Kholma accommodate more vegetables than the beds of the coron. In general, the bed is not at all necessary to have a rectangular shape. It can be, for example, this: the bed does not have to be rectangular. Photos from the site Pinterest.com and round beds are also popular. Moreover, this is the case when the form can play the role of both purely decorative and purely practical. The bed can be round. Photos from the site www.knowhunger.org Yes, round beds on the site will fit less than square and rectangular, that is, the area of plantings will decrease. But there are a lot of virtues. For example, originality and decorativeness, as in this photograph: round beds-corpses. Photo from the Pinterest.com site or practicality: round beds of old metal containers will not allow the rhizomes of weeds to break through to your vegetables. Round beds in barrels. Photo from the Pinterest.com website is interesting to the idea of a round warm bed (this year I want to build one). It is done easy. A plastic film (sleeve) is taken. On the prepared site is a circle, the diameter of which corresponds to the size of the film sleeve. The center is installed in the center with a height of up to 180-200 cm (depending on which culture is supposed to be grown). Low pegs-ships are installed throughout the circle, on which the lower part of the film is pulled. Then the resulting bed is filled with organic raw materials and soil. After planting the vegetables, the film straightens and is fixed on top of the pole, forming a greenhouse-chamber. Round bed-pair. Photos from the site dachnicki.ru in such a garden is convenient to grow cucumbers, pumpkins, tomatoes. For those who have small areas, vertical beds of all kinds of structures can be interesting. The bed-pyramid. Photo from the site www.edls.com.ua and practicality and decorativeness are also combined here: vertical beds are very original and beautiful, especially with a successful selection of crops for them, and more plants are placed more on their area than on a similar even area. Vertical bed. Photo from the Juneauempire.com website, but, as in the case of high beds, it should be borne in mind that the soil in these structures (especially when it comes to small containers) dry very quickly. The use of drip irrigation systems or moisture -resistant fillers, for example, a hydrogel that is mixed with the soil for planting plants, will help. You can choose equipment for organizing watering in our catalog, which collects offers of large garden online stores. Choose equipment for watering. For a small vertical garden, such unexpected structures are also suitable: a vertical bed from an old chest of drawers. Photo from the UKR-news.info website now the boundaries between beds and flower beds are often erased. Here, for example, is a mixbord bed beautifully framed by a wattle rod: a mixboreder bed. Photo from the site 101Dizain.com.ua simple vegetable borders from salad, parsley, carrots are easy to make on any garden area, and they look very original and elegant. Well, if you want something more refined, then here is another example: a vegetable flowerbed. Photo from the site nasotke.ru in a word, the modern bed is far from boring and very beautiful.
