Schalet, or “Pastukhi hut,” is gaining more and more popularity in the wake of fashion of environmentally friendly materials.
What is a chalet style interior?
The main characteristics of the interior in the style of “chalet” are as follows:
- Wood and stone are the main materials for decoration (and ideally for construction) of the interior.
- Wooden beams on the ceilings.

The color scheme also remains calm: soft shades of natural wood, flax; It is possible to use bright color accents, for example, the color of juicy greens. The furniture in the bedroom should also be quite simple, preferably unlawed. Lighting should be dim, preferably sconces and lamps hidden from the eyes. Mandatory curtains in the bedroom should perfectly fit into the chalet style.
High requirements are imposed on the curtains in the chalet style:
- natural materials;
- no synthetic shine;
- Natural colors: gray, beige, milk. It is best used to create curtains in the style of a shawl of unpainted fabric;
- Curtains with the absence of patterns and ornaments are ideal, although the latter are allowed;
- It is better to choose dense heavy materials, since they most correspond to the style of the “Pastui House”.
