It so happened that Bohemia was able to turn her plain apartments into a fashion trend. Very quickly, the interior design in the loft style has become popular. Already in the 50s, poor painters began to leave the former factory areas, to remove the squares that suddenly became elite, they were no longer affordable. Their places were taken by rich lawyers and businessmen, squeezing those who promoted the loft style.
Interior features with loft elements
Artists who were the first to live in old manufactories paid little attention to how the walls look. Therefore, brick masonry or a roughly plastered surface, which is not covered by plaster, is a hallmark of the loft. Many people who want to embody this fashionable interior at home specially expand the walls or apply wallpaper with imitation of masonry. Often the walls are decorated with such things that are found on city streets – graffiti, abstract paintings or even road signs.
In addition, a real loft cannot be created in rooms with low ceilings. Production buildings are always spacious, they are filled with light and air. Partitions are not welcome in such a room, the owners are replaced by zoning of the rooms. Accents in the right place are created using competent lighting, flooring, special colors of walls and ceiling. If someone wants to install a partition, then it can be glass. If you want to make this place a little more comfortable, then paint the adjacent walls in calm tones. The bed in such a bedroom should be large and on low legs, which can completely hide under bedding. The cabinet can be both with mirror doors and with a matte facade. If you have really spacious apartments, then you can smooth out the geometry of space a little by installing it in your room not at right corners.
