A huge variety of materials and wallpaper designs make it possible to bring to life almost all possible ideas of the craftsmen. But even the brightest or most original paintings sometimes do not reflect what the designer wants to convey when decorating a room in an antique style. Wallpaper under a fresco is perfect here. They are used for different purposes and, depending on the chosen pattern, for any room.
Wallpaper for frescoes – what’s good about them?
In its own way, this is another alternative to photo wallpapers that are popular today. The main advantage is the ability to apply any design in a short time, choose the appropriate texture and at the same time not limit yourself in the style of room decoration.
Such canvases are made either on a non-woven or fiberglass base. It is very convenient to work in sheets, since their width is almost unlimited and you can even order five-meter rolls. After the wallpaper is pasted on the wall, it is painted with varnish. Therefore, if you wish, you can always clean them from dirt with ordinary water or non-aggressive chemicals.
When working with wallpaper with frescoes on the wall, all the rules for pasting non-woven fabric remain in force. So you don’t have to hire an experienced craftsman (unless, of course, you’ve ever glued non-woven fabric to a wall yourself).
Wallpaper frescoes in the interior
At first glance, it may seem that this type of wall decoration is suitable only for large and elegant living rooms. Most likely, this impression is due to the very word “fresco”. But in fact, they can easily fit into the interior of even a child’s room.
- Children’s wallpaper murals They are used primarily due to their environmental friendliness and not too strong brightness of colors. The theme is chosen according to the age of the child, from cute children’s ornaments to stylish compositions for a teenager.
- Wallpaper frescoes for the kitchen They are also perfect due to their ability to add notes of comfort and warmth to the interior. Since the kitchen usually has not only high humidity conditions, but also constant stains from cooking, they are ideal. Most often they use images of dishes and aromatic herbs. If this is Provence style, then preference is given to images of a lavender field, narrow cobbled streets or images of cafe facades.
- Particularly wide choice of designs wallpaper frescoes in the living room interior. There are bright, beautiful images in the antique style, and architectural drawings. Wallpaper frescoes on the wall look quite harmonious even in small rooms, if you choose a pattern that is not too large and dark.
