Zebra blinds

Relatively recently, a new type of blinds – zebra – has appeared on the market of light protection systems. The main difference from conventional roller blinds is their design. With the help of such combined blinds, it becomes possible to conveniently regulate the light flux.

Zebra blinds set

Zebra blinds consist of two pieces of fabric (transparent and opaque), the stripes of which alternate with each other. Moreover, strips of transparent fabric are 25 mm narrower than opaque strips. When the curtains are raised and lowered, the strips shift relative to each other, which changes the natural light in the room. When two transparent strips of both panels are combined, the greatest penetration of light into the room occurs. And if an opaque strip is combined with a transparent strip, the access of light into the room will be minimal. That’s why these zebra blinds have a different name: Combo, or day-night.

Zebra roller blinds are made from a special fabric that has antistatic properties, that is, dust particles do not stick to it. This fabric does not fade or wrinkle. Maintenance of this fabric is minimal and consists of dry cleaning. Occasionally you can wipe the blinds with a damp cloth or sponge.

Blind components are made of plastic or aluminum. The fittings and frame are available in seven color shades: wenge, walnut, cherry, mahogany, light oak, golden oak, white.

Zebra blinds can be of the open roller type, where a rolled roll of fabric is placed in plain sight.

The second type of zebra day-night blinds is cassette, in which the fabric is hidden in a special cassette box.

Fastening and controlling zebra blinds

Installation of such blinds is carried out on the ceiling, wall, window opening or on each window sash. The latter option is becoming increasingly popular because it allows you to freely open a window with blinds for ventilation.

If you want to install zebra blinds on each leaf, then use the zebra mini blinds and zebra uni cassette blinds. The zebra mini system can be installed on both sashes of a plastic window, or on one. The shaft in such blinds remains open. Zebra uni has a cassette box covering the shaft and side guides.

You can attach zebra blinds to windows using self-tapping screws, having previously drilled holes for them. It is possible to attach such curtains to special clip-on clips or to very durable and reliable double-sided tape made on a foam base.

Zebra blinds are controlled manually using a chain or cord. There are zebra light protection systems that have an electric drive installed, and then such blinds are controlled using a remote control.

In order to fix the blinds in the selected position, you just need to release the chain.

Zebra blinds in the interior

Classic zebra blinds look great on plastic windows in both home and office interiors. Since zebra blinds are installed only in the window opening, the window sill remains free, which is especially important for the kitchen, as well as for the living room and bedroom. In this case, you can put pots with indoor flowers on the windowsill and then the scorching rays of the sun will not be scary for them.

In the living room, zebra blinds will help prevent glare on the TV screen. In the bedroom, such roller blinds will allow you to relax comfortably.

Zebra blinds can also be installed in the office, on the loggia and balcony, and everywhere they will bring comfort and protection. Zebra blinds will make the interior of your room unique, unique and stylish.
