We are used to treating bricks as a traditional material that has long been used in the construction of buildings. Time adjusted its release, limiting the framework of the standards. Now we are faced with modern types of brick, choosing the one that specialists recommend to us.
The main types of brick
- Ceramic brick. It is made of clay with the addition of various kinds of additives by the method of complete or partial firing. A full -bodied brick has few voids, it has high strength, so it is used to lay internal and external walls, the erection of columns and other load -bearing elements. Hollow products, unlike full -bodied ones, are much easier. They are used in the construction of partitions and lightweight wall options. Numerous voids increase its efficiency and thermal insulation properties.
- Silicate brick. The manufacturing technology of products includes the presence of compounds such as sand and lime with a small number of additives (pigments) that undergo the autoclaving process. It absorbs moisture well, has increased density and low frost resistance, so it requires a good foundation.
- Hyperpreed brick. Firing is not required for its production. Products are formed under high pressure, resulting in beautiful textured chips and the ideal surface shape.
- Special brick. It is intended for special operating conditions. For example, the walls of furnaces and fireplaces that are in contact with fire are laid out with refractory bricks. At chemical enterprises, acid -resistant products are used. Clinker brick is ideal for exhausting paths in the garden, for the design of the basement, doors and windows openings.

Types of facing brick
- Smooth surface. This brick is made by a standard value or reduced size. High -quality material is hollow, evenly painted, has clear faces, has good frost resistance and thermal insulation.
- Textured brick. It has an embossed pattern on the front surface, which is applied before firing. Clinker brick is sometimes decorated with mineral crumbs. Increased decorative qualities have the types of bricks that are treated with Angobus or glaze.
- Figure brick. This type of material has beveled corners, curved faces and other elements that help to build round columns, arches and other decorative elements without any difficulties.

The correctly selected brick serves as the key to the durability of structures. There are brands that determine its density. The higher the brand, the better the products. Poor -quality ceramic products are obtained in case of violation of technology by shortcoming or overturning.
