Ceiling baguette for suspended ceilings is, in fact, a frame from the profile. Its function is the fixing and uniform tension of the ceiling material (fabric, PVC film).
Types of baguettes for stretch ceilings
Profiles (baguettes) are produced by several configurations, and are divided into harpoon, clip and graduate.
The harpoon profile is most often used for installation of film ceilings. He got his name due to the similarity of configuration with a fishing harpoon. It should be noted that harpoon baguits for suspended ceilings can be both ceiling and wall. As a rule, wall baguettes are used when it is planned to install built -in spotlights on the stretch ceiling.

For tissue suspended ceilings, either graduate or clip baguits are used. In the first version, the canvas is introduced into the baguette connector and by the bewitching is fixed with a headaces. In the second version, the pulled canvas is inserted into the cut of the tube – clips. Clips baguettes, like harpoon -type baguits, can also be either ceiling or wall (fastening of profiles, respectively, is carried out either to the ceiling or to the wall).

But according to the material of manufacture, baguettes for suspended ceilings can be divided into aluminum and plastic. Harpoon and stamper -type baguettes can be either aluminum and plastic, but clip bagots, as a more modern design, are made only of particularly durable plastic (or rather, from PVC). Both aluminum baguettes and PVC baguettes for suspended ceilings have similar operational indicators. That’s just a frame structure from a plastic profile is much lighter than aluminum, and the price indicator plays a role (plastic baguettes are cheaper than aluminum).

Another indicator by which the baguettes are divided into types is the visibility or invisibility of the profile below the edge of the installed canvas of the stretch ceiling. It is invisible baguettes for suspended ceilings that allow you to beat curved areas of the ceiling.

To install suspended ceilings, the final stage is the installation of decorative baguits from foam imitating stucco molding, or from other materials. They are simply glued to the wall, but in no case to the very canvas of the stretch fabric.

Soaring stretch ceilings
For a new type of suspended ceilings, the so -called soaring, the specific structure of the profile (baguette) is used, which allows the entire baguette base (frame) to hide behind the pulled canvas, plus the LED backlight is used. Thus, it seems that the ceiling is simply hanging (steam) in the air, absolutely not touching the walls.
