Green is one of the best colors for the design of the kitchen. It is active, but not aggressive, helps to create a favorable psychological background, it accepts a variety of textures and various materials.
The ability to combine the mood of the working corner and the recreation area is among the advantages of green cuisine. In addition, the universality of color bribes: a wide palette of shades of green is suitable for interiors in almost all styles.
Examples of a combination of shades of green and styles:
- Pastel tones with olive notes will optimally fit into the surroundings of country and Provence.
- The darker olive will look good in neoclassical designs.
- The juicy shade of young grass is suitable for styles with a pronounced modern character.
- Neon colors will be appropriate in space, pop art and fusion interiors.
The use of color also partly depends on the style. For example, green walls in the kitchen will add expressiveness to minimalism and high-tech.
For retro and country interiors, furniture painted in muffled green tones is suitable, possibly-with the effect of craquelure or with the adventing texture of the tree. Against its background, antique or aged dishes, ceramics, and porcelain will look great.
Vanguard designs, for example-in the format of FUZHN or POP-art, complement green textiles, dishes, decor.
Patterned green wallpaper in the kitchen will be an excellent background for atmospheric kitchens in the English style. Having designed only one wall (or part of the wall), among other things, you can visually indicate the recreation area in the kitchen.
Painting in green colors, including ornamental, will decorate ethnic and country interiors.
What colors should be combined green?
Having thought of the kitchen in green colors, it is worth deciding what to bet on: the contrast of different colors or the use of different shades of the same color. If you stopped on the last version, it is better that color saturation increases from large areas to small ones. In other words: against the background of pale walls, furniture is several tones brighter, the most expressive in the interior are decorative little things, dishes, textiles. The accent will also be the bright design of the walls above the working surface, the so -called apron – for the green cuisine, for example, select a landscape and herbal ornament.
Among other things, the color of young greenery looks good paired with white. True, such a duet does not tolerate excessive minimalism, it will win only thanks to competent work with textures and the right choice of shade. Otherwise, instead of stylish kitchen design in green colors, a typical interior of the Soviet dining room will be obtained.
In the green kitchen, it is good to combine green and with other bright, saturated colors-there is no risk to overdoing the abundance of bright colors, because the room, right, is not residential. True, do not forget about the rules of colorism: try to choose different colors in one tone so as not to turn a bold experiment into a visual nightmare.
Examples of a combination of green with other colors:
- Curtains for green kitchen in a classic red with a white cage.
- Green chairs for the kitchen will look great against the background of the yellow walls
- Green chandelier into the kitchen-in an interior made in blue-yellow colors (green is obtained with a mixture of blue and yellow, so the lighting will combine contrasting colors).
- Green tiles in the kitchen, which alternates with tiles of a different color, for example, in the design of the apron. Successful couples: mint+smoky pink; pistachio+yellow; Grassy green+blue.
