How are these windows made?
The metal-plastic frame profile is covered with a film with a structured surface. The film can be in a wide variety of colors or imitate different wood textures. It is resistant to temperature and moisture, and does not react to chemical components. Lamination of wood-look plastic windows can be one-sided or two-sided, when the film also covers the inside of the frame. Their disadvantage is that when the window is opened, the white inner surfaces of the profile will be visible. However, it is possible to laminate the frame completely, along with the end surfaces, although such an operation will require additional expenses.
Plastic windows in the color of wood can also be created using acrylic paint. Applying it in several layers gives the surface a special roughness. Paint is also applied on one or both sides. If the window is painted completely with the end and internal surfaces, then it is difficult to distinguish it from a natural wooden window. You can also paint all the fittings. But in this case, the window will not be cheaper than a wooden one.
