Khrushchev is a multi -storey apartment building (most often a five -story building) with an uncomfortable location of small rooms. Under Nikita Khrushchev, such houses stamped like on the conveyor, hence the name. Due to the cruising speed of the construction, the layout was made through the sleeves, with obligatory passage rooms, completely uncomfortable, especially for families with children.
The layout of a two -room Khrushchev
The standard size of a two -room Khrushchev is about forty three square meters. The placement of rooms in the apartment is categorically inconvenient. Almost always one of them is passing, the kitchen is small – 5-7 meters, the bathroom is located near the front door. That is why almost every tenant of the house is conceived about the redevelopment of a two -room apartment like Khrushchev, but does not imagine where to start.
Previously, you must decide what exactly you want to get as a result of all these painstaking, laborious work. Perhaps you see an inner vision with a common kitchen-studio? Or an absolutely insulated office from an adjacent room? And perhaps you have long wanted to organize an additional room for children? You can’t do without the demolition of the walls.
Redevelopment options for two -room Khrushchev
The easiest way to demolish all partitions and get a studio apartment. The resulting space can already be divided not sectors, zones with thin partitions made of drywall, shirms, racks. A common option for combining the kitchen, the hallway and the hall in one large room. Next, the living room is separated, but purely formally, either with an arch, or a bar. Yes, your housing has become more spacious, but the functionality of the original layout has not changed.
There is also a way how to redraw a two -room Khrushchev – to transfer the partitions between the hall and the bedroom so as to maximize the area of the passage room. In this case, there will be a little space in the bedroom, only on the bed, chair, bedside table. This room, thanks to this, can turn into a dungeon without windows. This is all good only when the family spends much more time in the living room. And, of course, even a microscopic bedroom will become a cozy nest with proper design.
How can you re -plan a bathroom in a two -room Khrushchev – this is a whole separate topic. Instead of an old cast -iron bath, you can install a new -fangled shower cabin, combine a separate bathroom, while transferring the door to the toilet to the wall of the corridor. Thanks to this, it will be possible to place some other items in the bathroom, for example, a washing machine or a boiler.
In this case, you can not do without a thorough phased repair of the bathroom: replace sewer and water pipes, engage in high -quality surfaces, put a new tile, whitewash the ceiling, paint the walls and so on.
Consider also the option of uniting a room and loggia. The balcony and the loggia are abolished (if they are available in the apartment, of course) in order to increase the area of the hall. The loggia will have to be insulated, glazed, demolished the partition. But remember – the partition on the balcony (loggia) is the supporting wall of your home! And in pursuit of a few extra square meters, you can damage the durability of the five -story building itself.
You can also replace all the doors in your home with sliding, thereby winning a few more precious square centimeters of the area.
Any redevelopment must be legalized, consulted by a specialist. Otherwise, you may be forced to pay a fine and return all the walls to their original position.
