Modern designers in the study of various materials quite often make extraordinary discoveries, which previously could seem from the side only a fabulous plot. One of these new products in the design of the interior steel, the so -called, flowering wallpaper.
What are flowering wallpaper?
Wallpaper created by the Chinese designer Shi Yuan, under the influence of environmental temperatures, literally before our eyes begin to bloom. This effect was achieved due to the supersensitive reactive paint (Reactive Paint), which was covered with the surface of the wallpaper. Depending on the temperature, the paint manifests itself in several stages. At a temperature of 15 degrees, the pattern on wallpaper with tiny buds remains the same ordinary, at 25 degrees – the buds begin to increase in size and bloom, and at a temperature of 35 degrees – lush flowers appear on the walls of the room.

Thus, the best solution would be to glue such wallpaper only those sections of the room that are near heating devices or on which rays of hot sun often fall.
In addition to flowering wallpaper, to create an original interior of the room, Shi Yuan also offered peculiar tapestries, which have exactly the same properties. Such a tapestry will be an excellent decoration of any living room, and your guests will be surprised by the unusual transformation of the picture.

It is worth noting that in order to cause a “flowering” reaction of the paint, it is not at all necessary to wait for a hot summer or heating season. It is enough just leaning against the wall with your back, touch your palm or move the heater – and bright flowers will immediately decorate your room.
By the way, it is worth saying that the idea of flowering wallpaper originated in the not such distant 70s. Then, the so -called “mood rings” were invented. These were stones that could change their color depending on the temperature of the human arms. In the reactive colors that the Chinese designer used now, liquid crystals of the same type were used as in the “mood rings”.
Disadvantages of flowering wallpaper
- Firstly, at the moment, flowering wallpaper has not passed the necessary studies. In particular, the effect of reactive paint on the human body is not established. There are concerns that this paint when heated distinguishes harmful substances into the air, so do not rush to buy the new item.
- Secondly, it is almost impossible to warm the pasted room to such a temperature that all the walls are completely “blossomed”. Therefore, flowers will appear in places near heating devices, and this is unlikely to be beautiful, unless of course this is a special design idea.
- Thirdly, like all new inventions, flowering wallpapers have a fairly high price-$ 25 per square meter. So, the best do not glue the whole room with them, but use only in some places where they will definitely bloom!
Other impressive and unusual wallpaper are fluorescent wallpapers, the drawing on which glows in the dark.
