When you hear the words “house in the village” at least from the famous advertising telling about the products of the same name, stories from childhood involuntarily pop up in memory. A good smiling grandmother, a krinka with fresh milk, a fluffy cat on a window with homespun curtains, trips with a grandfather to haymaking. But you never know anything else draws imagination, I can’t count impressions and memories. Ah, how sad it is that childhood cannot be returned. Yes, the children’s years have gone irrevocably, but the interior in the rustic style can be easily created even in a city apartment, you only need to finish a little.
Design of a rustic -style house among the jungle of a metropolis
To begin with, let’s close our eyes and imagine the same village house, the interior of which we want to recreate. Of course, each of us will be his own, unique, not like any other, and this is wonderful. But, I think, many details of the situation and household items are inherent in rural life, regardless of place and time. It’s worth paying paramount attention to them.
So, the design of any dwelling in the rustic style has always had the following characteristic features. Firstly, all things and furniture, dishes, jewelry were simple and practical. Secondly, the interior of a village house is only natural natural materials. If a table and chairs, then from a real tree. If wicker chairs and sofas, then from willow or rattan. If tablecloths or curtains, then only in a rustic style, that is, linen or chintz. Well, thirdly, the color scheme. The rustic style, even in the city interior, involves complete harmony with nature. So, it is preferable to use natural natural colors that do not cause irritation and fatigue. Green, blue, pink, white, beige, cornflower. The same applies to drawings on textiles and wallpaper, let there be small flowers, openwork leaves, small geometric shapes or interspersed short stripes. Consider all this when creating the situation.
District style kitchen design
Having finished with the public, let’s go through the rooms, and we will begin, perhaps, with the kitchen, because, as you know, this is a real place of residence of the hostess. What will the design of the kitchen in the rustic style look like? But how.
We will whimper and decorate the ceiling with a small lamp in the form of an opened flower. We put the walls in bluish wallpaper with small cornflowers. A rag strip knitted by a bed with a bed with a bed, and decorate the window with white lace curtains. In one of the corners, we put a corner of wooden shops with backs and a round table, and on one of the walls we will hang an applique of dry plants. Towels, aprons, oilcloth on the table and linen bedspreads on the benches will also choose to match the walls and curtains. It is very good if there is embroidery on them. And even the usual household appliances can be embellished by depicting, for example, a rooster and a chicken, on the doors of the refrigerator or hinged cabinets.
Living room in a rustic style
From the kitchen we will move to the living room. What will be here here? Since we still build a village style in the interior of a city apartment, we still cannot do without a modern type of furniture, but we will try to combine both harmoniously as possible.
The ceiling, as in the kitchen, will leave white. We put the walls into paper wallpaper green-brown tones with a pattern of small foliage. We will select curtains for the living room in the rustic style to the tone of wallpaper, but always made of natural fabrics. Do not forget about the openwork to the middle of the window of the tulle and fresh flowers in pots on the windowsill. Perhaps the furniture, we leave the usual, cabinet, sofa, a couple of chairs and a coffee table, just getting asleep with upholstered furniture with capes under the homespun cloth, and decorate the shelves and tables with lace dumb napkins. The floor can be covered with the usual palace, or you can also with rag paths, as in the kitchen. Choose the lighting to your taste, or a chandelier on the ceiling, or wall -mounted sconces.
Rustic -style bedroom
And finally, it remains to arrange the bedroom. Since this place is for sleep and rest, it must be a wide, better wooden bed with carved or wrought -ironeds, with a mountain of various pillows, a real fertilizer and a decoration of linen or cotton fabrics. Colors for wallpaper, curtains, bedspreads and cloaks are better to choose calm, with a small and discreet pattern. From furniture here, either a chest of drawers, or a massive chest, or a pot -bellied closet under the old days. And the floor by the bed can be diversified by rugs imitating the skin of the sheep. And, of course, landscapes, still lifes or corner with icons are appropriate in the bedroom, if you are religious.
