If you have a small garden or you just like to experiment, create a vertical bed in your area. For owners of very small gardens, vertical landscaping is just a find. Vertical beds in this way can grow a huge number of crops: greens, spicy herbs, strawberries, potatoes, flowers, tomatoes, peppers and much more. We present you 10 simple ideas on how to create a vertical bed without special costs with your own hands. 1. Vertical bed of plastic pipes. Option 1 Table bed is perfect for growing strawberries, herbs, flowers. For the winter, it can be put on the ground and covered with material. So your berries are perfectly wintering. A vertical bed of pipes we take a wire -diameter and a narrow pipe (we will use it for irrigation), which is 10 cm longer than wide. At 2/3 of the length of the narrow pipe we make a lot of small holes. The end of the pipe without holes will be located from below, and the water will not enter the lower layers of the soil so that it does not water it. We wrap this pipe with a burlap so that the roots of the plants do not cling to the holes. In a wide pipe, we make large holes with a diameter of 20 cm, so that the plant can be stuck in them. Below we also leave a plot without holes. We recommend leaving one side of the pipe without holes – so you can put the pipe on the ground in the winter. Then everything is simple: we insert a narrow pipe into a wide pipe, pour gravel so that the pipe stands vertically. Pour the soil gradually and plant the plants. We shed.
