If after renovation you have an extra wooden door, do not rush to get rid of it. You will always have time to throw it away, better let\u2019s try to find a suitable way to give it a new life. It turns out there are a lot of ideas… Don\u2019t rush to get rid of an old wooden door, try to give it a new life 1. Tables and tablesPerhaps this is the simplest and most obvious idea: essentially, the door leaf is a ready-made tabletop, to which you only need to attach suitable legs. Here, for example, is an option available even to a novice craftsman: Even a novice craftsman can make such a table. You can use balusters as legs (an element of a staircase that can be easily bought at a hardware store, choosing both the size and shape to suit your taste). But you don\u2019t have to be too sophisticated – make the legs from ordinary timber of a suitable cross-section, and add lightness and elegance to the structure using glass. The door handle next to the table is too much, in my opinion. However, as we know, there is no arguing about tastes. A fairly simple and inexpensive option. Of course, a glass table will require careful handling, but it\u2019s impressive! And glass can still be decorated (with the help of stained glass paints, for example)… However, it is not necessary to \u201cgloss\u201d – on the contrary, you can emphasize the age of the door or even specially age it: traces of time give the finished product a special charm. But again, this is a matter of taste and personal preference. Aged doors If you want to get a flat surface (which is certainly more convenient and practical than a countertop with a whimsical relief), simply fix durable glass on top of the door leaf, cut exactly to the size of the door. 2. Cabinets, racks and shelves If you don\u2019t need a lot of tables in the house, then shelves are never superfluous. The simplest mini-racks can be easily made from old paneled doors.
