Both types of baguettes are fire-resistant, do not emit harmful substances and tolerate temperature changes well. These qualities are considered very important when installing a ceiling, since one of the stages of work is heating the film at high temperatures, as a result of which many materials can melt. The only difference between the baguettes is that aluminum baguettes for suspended ceilings are more expensive than plastic ones due to the greater strength of the material. This type of baguette is used primarily for heavy canvas and is quickly installed. <\/p>\n<p>Depending on the location of attachment, baguettes are divided into three types:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Wall molding for suspended ceilings<\/strong>. Very often the ceiling is attached to the walls with this baguette. The most popular is a plastic baguette for suspended ceilings. It is more durable than aluminum, easier to process, and fits tightly to the curves of the walls. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Ceiling molding for suspended ceilings<\/strong>. It is used in cases where it is necessary to bypass the cornices, installed sliding wardrobes to the main ceiling or extend the ceiling at a short distance from the main ceiling. The baguette groove is closed with an insert or decorative trim around the perimeter of the ceiling. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Separating baguette for suspended ceilings<\/strong>. Used when combining several materials, if necessary, to stretch the ceiling of a large area. The baguette has two grooves into which PVC film is inserted. A separating baguette is needed when installing multi-level ceilings.  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Depending on the type of ceiling and the design of the room, baguettes can be designed differently. A narrow baguette, glued at the junction of the wall and ceiling, hides the joints of the film and the wall, and a wide PVC baguette for suspended ceilings, on the contrary, attracts attention and complements the composition. The gaps between the molding and the wall are closed with a masking gap. During installation, you need to leave 3-4 cm between the suspended and main ceilings. This gap will allow you to hide the alarm and communication lines. Before installing the baguette, you need to identify the lowest point of the apartment ceiling. To do this you will need a laser tape measure, a rangefinder and a building level. <\/p>\n<p>The tension fabric is inserted using one of two installation systems: harpoon or blade. With the harpoon system, the canvas is secured into a baguette using a harpoon. This ceiling can be dismantled in the future. With the blade system, the blade is secured with a wedge, and the remains are cut off. This system simplifies the process of measurements and production (the fabric is made larger), but the installation of the tension fabric becomes more complicated.
